Packaging and Labeling correctly for the road. There are no specific rules about packaging, palletizing and labeling. At Bob's, we have developed some guidelines to ensure the safe movements of shipments from origin to destination. Considerations: Bob's highly recommends that each piece of your shipment—whether there are individual packages or pallets—be labeled or stenciled with the name and complete address of the consignee (the person or company you're shipping to). Be sure the labels match the bill of lading. Your shipping and consignee information on your bill of lading must correspond exactly with your shipping labels. If the goods cannot be counted, list "two pallets STC (said to contain) 10 cartons each," a total of two pieces. Palletizing considerations: Palletize when:
