INTERMODAL
DRAYAGE
The following rate
schedule will be used by Bob’s Pickup and Delivery for equipment moving
to & from the Billings, MT Hub.
|
1)
Local Drayage – Within
Billings city limits - $80.00 + FSC (fuel surcharge)
spot & pickup / $125.00 + FSC for live unload
|
|
Local
Drayage – Outside Billings city limits within a 25 mile range – Minimum of
$125.00 + FSC
|
|
|
|
2)
Pickup & Delivery of Trailers or Containers - $1.20 per mile / round trip + FSC
|
|
|
|
3)
Chassis Rental –
(Bob’s equipment) - $50.00
|
|
|
|
4)
Stop-Off Charge –
A stop charge of $60.00 per stop, plus off-route mileage of $1.50
per mile, will be assessed for making additional pickups after the
first pickup, or for additional deliveries after the first delivery.
Stop charges will apply when consignee is unable to take
delivery, and drayman must remove trailer from rail yard to prevent
storage charges.

5)
Off-Route Charges –
Any mileage beyond the original consigned destination - $1.50 per
mile.
|
|
|
|
6)
Hazardous Material Charges –
For any load that requires hazardous material placarding there will
be a $50.00 charge.
|
|
|
|
7)
Free Time – Two
(2) hours stay with free time provided all equipment in commercial
zones. Additional
charges will apply for drop. Free time is for loading or unloading
of containers or trailers with power.
|
|
|
|
8)
Excess Time Charge –
Detention of carrier beyond the free time will be charged on an
hourly basis. The
charge will be $40.00 per hour.
|
|
|
|
9)
Trip Permit – If
a trip permit is required, a $50.00 fee will be added.
|
|
|
|
10)
Driver Assist – A
charge of $40.00 per hour will be assessed on stay-with trailers
that require driver loading or unloading of containers
or trailers; a minimum charge of $100.00 will apply.
The charge will commence at the time the driver provides the
service. There is no
free time associated with a stay-with trailer that requires the
driver loading or unloading.

Note: If the
driver’s assistance is requested during the two (2)
free time hours – a charge of $20.00 per hour will apply.
After the first two hours the charge would revert to $40.00
per hour.

|
11)
Drop and Pull and Stay With –
On drop and pull, as well as stay with service, the shipper is
responsible for load, count and legal loading (legal vehicle gross
weight and correct axle weight distribution pursuant to state laws)
including proper blocking and bracing.
The drayman will verify that the seal is intact.
If not, it will be so annotated on the shipper bill of lading
or trailer interchange.

12)
Check out fee – If
trailer or container needs to be checked out of hub to avoid storage
and still is waiting distribution - $60.00.
|
|
|
|
13)
Per Diem Schedule & Storage Schedule–
|
|
|
|
Per Diem Time:
Day of interchange plus 2 days
|
|
No additional free time for weekends
|
|
(On Friday interchanges, the last free day is Monday)
|
|
|
|
Per Diem Charges:
$45.00 per day – Day 1 through 5
|
|
$60.00 per day – Day 6 and beyond
|
|
|
|
Storage Free Time:
Day of notification plus 1 day
|
|
|
|
Storage Charges: $60.00 per day – Day 1 through 5
|
|
$95.00 per day – Day 6 and beyond
|
|
All detention and storage charges are subject to change
without notice, based on changes made by equipment provider.
|
|
|
|
Note:
Any Force Majeure*
including war, insurrection, riot, civil disturbance, strike,
picketing or other labor disturbance, would (1) subject operations
to unreasonable risk of life or property, or (2) unreasonable
jeopardize the ability of the carrier to render line-haul or pickup
or delivery or any other service from or to or at other points or
locations.

|
|
Carrier reserves the right to refuse to transport property of
a dangerous or offensive character or shipments, which in opinion of
carrier are improperly packed for safe practicable transportation. |
|
|
*Definition
of Force Majeure
|
|
·
An act of God, including but not limited to lightning, storm,
action of the elements, landslides, earthquakes, cyclones, flood,
washouts and natural disaster.
|
|
·
Unavoidable accident or incident, including but not limited to
fire, explosion, loss of power supply, radioactive contamination and
toxic or dangerous chemical contamination, state emergency, suicide
or attempted suicide.
